CONWAY, NH - The Echo Group, a leading provider of Electronic Health Records and Billing software to the Behavioral Health industry, has created a partnership with DrFirst to integrate the Rcopia Electronic Prescribing software into Clinician's Desktop and ShareCare.

"With Rcopia's feature set and access network to pharmacies across the country, it was a perfect fit for what our customers are looking for with ePrescribing." said Paul Kirsch, Marketing Manager for The Echo Group.

ePrescribing has become an essential part of the movement towards a complete EHR.  Starting January 1st of 2009, there will also be financial incentives to use an ePrescribing tool.  Physicians who prescribe for Medicare patients are eligible for a 2% increase on their Medicare reimbursement payment if they use an ePrescribing tool

Hope Community Resources of Alaska Selects Echo’s software for their Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral Health Information System

ANCHORAGE, AK – Hope Community Resources has selected The Echo Group’s Clinician’s Desktop/Revenue Manager software for their Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral Health Information System.

Hope is Alaska’s largest and only statewide provider of services to individuals who experience a disability. They have eight locations across the state in Anchorage, Dillingham, Kodiak, Seward, Juneau, Soldotna, Wasilla and Barrow. Hope provides a wide array of services, including but not limited to residential and day habilitation services, foster care, supported employment, respite care, subsistence opportunities, mental health supports, in-home family supports, and community nursing services.

The Echo Group’s Donley Smith Appointed to CCHIT Behavioral Health Work Group

CONWAY, NH – The Echo Group has announced that Donley Smith, Director of California Operations, has been appointed to the Certification Commission on Healthcare Information Technology’s (CCHIT) newly formed Behavioral Health Work Group. CCHIT is a private organization contracted by the federal government as a standards development and certification body for electronic health records (EHR). Their mission is to accelerate the adoption of health information technology. The Behavioral Health Work Group is one of ten work groups recently developed to define CCHIT EHR certification programs in 2009.

Mr. Smith was one of ten participants selected from a large, competitive pool of applicants for the Behavioral Health Work Group. Donley’s Work Group appointment is recognition of not only his extensive experience in behavioral health, but also many years working with behavioral health software.
