Java Developer

The Echo Group in beautiful Conway, NH seeks a talented Java Developer. With over 75 employees nationwide and growing, we are the second largest behavioral healthcare software provider in the country. If you are looking for a career in a fast-paced, dynamic development environment, working with Java web technologies to create our next generation of electronic medical record products, then this job is for you.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing multi-tier web applications in Java using OO techniques against an MSSQL back end. Experience with Delphi and/or Cold Fusion would be a plus, but not required. We are looking for someone to strengthen the Java skills of our team. Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer will oversee all aspects of the financial operations, financing, human resources and infrastructure.  The CFO will help establish overall strategy for the company with particular responsibility for maintaining the accountability system associated with corporate goals and objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate on the senior management team
  • Maintain financial reporting system in accordance with GAAP, with sufficient frequency and detail to support management decision-making
  • Develop and manage the budget and cash-flow monitoring systems
  • Manage the audit process and the relationship with Echo’s accounting firm
  • Develop tax mitigation strategies and ensure compliance in all tax related matters
  • Participate with the management team in establishment of contracting templates
  • Maintain relationship with legal counsel
  • Manage all banking relationships
  • Maximize cash management return, including short-term investments and A/P and A/R flows
  • Oversee billable time reporting, billing, and accountability
  • Manage internal reporting system, including management team reporting
  • Manage facilities and related infrastructure, including leases, furniture, fixtures, etc.
  • Oversee all aspects of the human resources function
  • Oversee Echo’s contracting process and compliance with contractual obligations.

Implementation Specialist

The job of Implementation Specialist involves organizing and managing product schedules for customers, and facilitating and coordinating the team of individuals who are responsible for the effective and timely implementation of the Echo product lines and third-party related applications.  The position currently includes no direct reports, but for some senior individuals may include supervisory responsibilities.

Tasks include:

  • Supervision of project plans for each assigned implementation
  • Research and understand the business needs of the customers
  • Collaboration with individuals involved in the submissions, conversions, support, training and consulting teams
  • Development of implementation tools and components that will facilitate rapid implementation of Echo products
  • Collaboration with Account Managers and Business Analysts to facilitate successful design of services packages for customers
  • Training customers and/or Echo employees in our applications
  • Deliver training and implementation services at customer sites
  • Create results based on customer needs
  • Other tasks required by the Manager of Implementation or other senior management staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Active involvement with customers contracted for professional services
  • Thorough knowledge of the Echo product line for which the specialist is responsible (e.g., CDT/RM, XAKTsoft, Sharecare, and/or 3rd party associated applications)
  • On-site training of customers as needed
  • On-site and off-site implementation management
  • Data entry, data window configuration, screen design, report design and other implementation tasks
  • Travel of up to 3 weeks per month, depending on demand and need. (Weekend travel may be required)
  • Produce and maintain billable hours per defined requirements
  • Manage contract obligations, staying within the budgeted time/money while delivering a high quality product.

Project Manager


Summary: The job of Project Manager involves organizing and managing product implementation schedules for customers, and facilitating and coordinating the team of individuals who are responsible for the effective and timely implementation of Echo software.  The position currently includes no direct reports, but for some senior individuals may include supervisory responsibilities.   The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, analysis and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for management of the entire project lifecycle from project definition/scope through implementation.
  • Deploy project management methodologies and tools such as MS Project.
  • Identify, coordinate, and manage resources and key stakeholders for Project.
  • Establish and communicate at all levels with Project stakeholders.
  • Gain thorough knowledge of the Echo product line.
  • Manage all aspects of implementation, not limited to design, configuration, conversion, training and support.  Development of implementation tools and components that will facilitate rapid implementation of Echo products.
  • Collaboration with sales staff during the development of proposals.
  • Other related tasks as may be required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

Software Engineering
Come work with our software development department in developing new functionality and software customizations. Responsibilities could include such areas as custom screen design, Crystal XI report development, Database configuration, etc. Learn how to work with various programming languages and tools including Java, Java Script, J2EE, Eclipse, HTML, Delphi and Cold Fusion. Learn about the intricacies of Microsoft SQL server and how to run queries, write complex scripts, and how to run traces between an application and the I/O with the associated databases.

Information Technology

Be able to put IT training to use. Learn how to build and maintain servers in both Windows and Linux environments. Learn how to implement virtualized software environments, work in an Active Directory configuration, review firewall settings, remote user access, etc. Work with other network experts as they maintain a sophisticated network environment. Observe how they monitor the system, address hardware failures, address network security and a host of other common day networking challenges.
